Every reaction in the form of hatred or evil is so much loss to the mind; and every evil thought or deed of hatred or any thought of reaction, if it is controlled, will be laid in our favor.
There is nothing that is absolutely evil.
Darkness is less light; evil is less good; impurity is less purity.
The root cause of evil is our desire to be superior to others and our selfishness.
Force against force never cures, and the only cure for evil is unselfishness
The "me and mine" is the very root of all the evil in the world.
The evils that are in the world are caused by none else but ourselves.
In doing evil, we injure ourselves and others also.
All evil comes, as our scriptures say. relying upon differences.
We have a life span, we too have a spiritual span. We are mortal, yet we are also immortal, our soul, our spirit. Who are you? Why are you here? Where are you going? Can you understand our immortal spirit that is encased inside a mortal body? Can you accept that I am you and you are me? No matter what name you all call yourselves, we all call ourselves "I"... That "I" is the gift of the Divine, we are all a spark of the Divine!

Self control and spiritual endeavor is the only ray of hope ...
Man's mind is too full of the world and desires demand too much of his time and energy. Engrossed in the analysis of the material world, he has lost all sense of sweetness and sublimity and truth has become just another word in the dictionary. Humility, patience and reverence have become irrelevant. The only ray of hope in this enveloping gloom of fear, hatred and persecution, is the Peace that one can win through self-control and spiritual endeavor. That Peace will pervade and purify the inner consciousness as well as the outer atmosphere.
God is love personified....
God is Love personified.
God is Love, and only he who has known God as Love can be a teacher of godliness and God to man.
He is the beauty itself, sublimity itself.
Who loves all beings without distinction, he indeed is worshiping best his God.
Man is an infinite circle whose circumference is nowhere, but the center is located in a spot; and God is an infinite circle whose circumference is nowhere, but his center is everywhere.
God is Love and Love is God.
Love is God, freedom is God; and everything that is bondage is not God.
God is the big magician; He does all the tricks.
God is present in every Jiva; there is no other God besides that.
God exists, nothing else exists; everything else comes and goes.
God is Love, and only he who has known God as Love can be a teacher of godliness and God to man.

Even a diamond requires to be cut and polished to enhance its brilliance and value....
The Lord creates hostile forces to
demonstrate the power of faith in
the Divine and to confer peace and
plenty on the believers.
Just as a mother provides toys
and sweets to a child for its pleasure,
though they are of no use to her,
God creates certain situations for
the sake of the devotee, to bring
out the depth of his devotion.
Even in small matters, we find that
their true nature is discovered only
by experiencing the elements opposed to them.
For instance, if one wants to develop physical strength,
he has to subject the body to strenuous exercises.

Ostentation in rendering service is harmful as it will only inflate the ego...
In rendering selfless service,
one should not think that their
services should be confined to
the poor and the destitute.
There is no need to make any
artificial distinction between the rich and the
poor in the sphere of service. What matters
is the service done to a person who needs it.
Your concern should only be with what kind of
service is required, when and where,
and not the status or position
of the person concerned.
The primary requisite is a genuine spirit of
love and camaraderie. If there is no feeling
of kindness and compassion, whatever service
that is done becomes an artificial
exercise, done for getting publicity or recognition.

See God in every one you meet... see God in everything you perceive....
See God in every one you meet; see God in everything you perceive. His Mystery is immanent in all that is material and non-material. The Universe is permeated by the Divine, it is an expression of His Mystery! Dip into the springs of joy within you and progress; do not stand still or recede. Every minute must mark a step forward. Rejoice that it is given to you to recognize God in all and welcome all chances to sing His Glory, to hear His miraculous stories, to share His presence with others.

Offer Him the fruits of your actions and the flowers of your inner thoughts and feelings...

Peace is the honey of love in the enchanting flower of life...
Peace is the honey of love in the enchanting flower
of life. It is the prime need of the spiritual master and the
spiritual aspirant. Having acquired it, they can realize
the Reality tomorrow, if not today. They should put up with all the
obstacles in the way, and peace will give them the strength needed
for this. Through peace alone can devotion and wisdom strike root.

Be devoid of desire for sense objects...
Try to break the coconut as it comes from the tree;
the shell is covered compactly by a coat of fiber.
You cannot break the nut by hitting even with a crow-bar;
take off the fibrous armour, breaking it is very easy.
When you take the coconut to be offered in the temple,
you take it after removing the fiber; then, you offer it to God,
breaking it into two halves.
This is the symbol for destroying the ego and surrendering to the Lord.
So you have to remove the fiber of desire for sense objects and then,
stand before the Lord devoid of desire and anger; then you declare that you are ego-less, by breaking the coconut into two. You will be accepted then, not before.

No duty is ugly, no duty is impure....
No duty is ugly, no duty is impure. (I. 70)
Each duty has its own place, and according to the circumstances in which we are placed, we must perform our duties. (I. 47)
Duty for duty's sake, work for work's sake.
Duty is seldom sweet.
Our duty is to encourage every one in his struggle to live up to his own highest ideal, and strive at the same time to make the ideal as near as possible to the Truth.
All our duties are His.
Ours are the duties. Let the fruits take care of themselves.
Every duty is holy, and devotion to duty is the highest form of the worship of God; it is certainly a source of great help in enlightening and emancipating the deluded and ignorant - encumbered souls of the bound ones.

God is love incarnate....
God is love incarnate. This love shines equally in every human being.
The fragrance of a flower remains the same whether it is held in the
right hand or the left. Likewise God has no distinctions such as the
favoured and the excluded.
But narrow-minded persons cannot easily
grasp the Divine's equal-mindedness. Everyone apprehends God's powers
and attributes according to his own limited conceptions and
experiences. Different people, depending on their own likes and
dislikes, attribute the differences existing in their own minds to
the Divine.
God does not make distinctions such as the good and the
bad, the desirable and the unwanted, the wicked and the virtuous. The
sandalwood tree imparts its fragrance even to the axe that fells it.
Likewise, God is ever prepared to love, foster and protect everyone equally.

All cravings and impulses rise up with overpowering strength like waves from the sea, roar in fury....
All cravings and impulses rise up with overpowering strength like
waves from the sea, roar in fury, and then subside in to calm waters.
They do not confer peace. Wisdom lies in forgetting these waves and
directing one's attention to the calm depths within. You can attain
peace only if you dive in to the deep and undisturbed depths
of the sea within, not by swimming around on the surface.
