is a wish-fulfilling tree. The tree is surrounded by
bushes and briars. When these are removed
the tree will become visible.

This wish-fulfilling tree is within each person, but it is
encompassed by the bad qualities in man. When these qualities are
eliminated, the celestial tree will be recognised.

This is the spiritual exercise that each one has to perform. This is
not the quest for something new. It is to experience what is yours.
The entire cosmos is within you.

Where there is confidence, there is love...

Why else would you bear or endure,
if there is no love?

only because of love. You are humble,
because you want to please the one you love.
You will want to give away the best you have, only out of love.

Even if one hurts you,
you will not hurt back and
you will swallow the anger and pride, only out of love.

Try to love, want to love,
for love will make you a better person.
Your virtues are the compartments that follow the engine of love.

Be slow to anger and arguments...

The spiritual aspirant must be vigilant not to lose his
temper on trivial and petty matters, for that will retard his
progress. Anger must be sublimated by systematic effort. One must
resist the impulse to enter into discussions and arguments, for this
breeds a spirit of rivalry and leads one towards feelings of anger
and vengeance. Anger is at the root of all wrong behaviour. Hence,
cultivate love towards all beings and thus keep undesirable habits
and tendencies at bay...

The sign of wisdom is to trust...

When hardships overwhelm you, know that it is the consequence of your
own past deeds. Do not blame the Lord and develop a grouse against
Him. Do not pay heed to trouble or take it as such. Rather engage
yourself in the service of others and perform meritorious deeds.
Continue relying on the name of the Lord for support. That is the
sign of wisdom

Our nature, there is no 'birthright', we were never born, just that we need to drive away the clouds that cover it...

Blessedness, eternal peace arising from perfect freedom, is the highest conception of religion, underlying all the ideas of God, absolutely free Existence, not bound by anything, no change, no nature, nothing that can produce a change in Him. This same freedom is in you and in me and is the only real freedom.

Worship of God, worship of holy ones, concentration and meditation and unselfish work, these are the ways of breaking away from illusion's net; but we must first have the strong desire to get free. The flash of light that will illumine the darkness for us, is in us; it is the knowledge that is our nature (there is no "birthright" , we were never born). All that we have to do is to drive away the clouds that cover it.

Jealous obsession is dangerous emotion...

Let your love for God be most intense,
the intensity of this love can moderate
all other forms of love and eliminate your passions.

If your love is intense for something
or someone in this world, then that love
turns into a jealous obsession,
and the presence of God gets masked in your insanity.

Accept all with love for God's love is all for you...

In the same way,
you may undergo circumstances
in life that inflict pain and suffering,
but this is just God's procedure
to correct your imperfections.

God's love, which is the cure
for your mental illnesses,
may sometimes be sweet and calming,
and at other times, be strict with discipline.
Accept all with love, God's love for you.

Consider God to be your doctor...

Consider God to be your doctor,
and love your medicine.

The doctor may perform procedures
that may be unpleasant and painful,
but your faith in him allows him to do his work
that is needful, without any complaints.

The medicine itself is sometimes bitter
and sometimes sweet, but you know that
the cure for your illness lies in it.

Hold this faith firmly in your heart and make
your life worthwhile and remain ever in bliss.

From time to time, the Divine power
assumes numerous forms.
In devotees, it shines as the fire of wisdom.

In non-devotees, it burns as the fire of anger
or the fire of desire. Man today has this fire of anger and lust
in his heart and has become a victim of fear and delusions.

All other types of fire subside in due course of time,
but these fires (of anger, etc.) never completely cease.
They may flare up at any moment.

How, then, are these fires to be
extinguished once for all?
Detachment and love are the two requisites to extinguish
these fires. It is only through love that man can acquire peace.

Devoid of compassion and love, Man is ruining himself...

Meditation.. one should control his senses and passions...

To be established in meditation , a spiritual aspirant should
control his senses and passions, and perform action without any
desire for the fruit of the action. Whoever is adept in this can
easily see with the mind's eye the form of Divinity as soon
as he hears the exposition of its nature. When detachment
is rooted deep, the heart becomes pure and withdrawal of the senses
from the objective world becomes possible.

Practice and propagates ideals such as goodness, morality and truth...

“One who practices and propagates ideals such as goodness, morality and truth, is a youth in the strict sense of the term. In fact, only such people are your best friends, and God's best friend too.”

The body must be taken care of only for realizing the Divinity within...

Attachment to the body impels one to seek
physical strength and health and an attractive physique.

All the efforts to make up one's face will
not serve to alter its natural features.

Only that which has been given by
the Lord will be enduring. You must be content with that.

While taking as much care of the body as is essential,
you should not have excessive attachment to that
which is inherently perishable and temporary.

The body must be taken care of only
for realizing the Divinity within. It is no doubt
necessary to maintain good health as long as one lives,
but obsessive concern for the body is misconceived.

Hold God in your heart always...

The Art of Prayer

Prayer is a form of communication with the Divine.
One may pray to any form of the Divine one chooses and relates to best.

"As the water that falls down in rain from anywhere in the sky finally reaches the Ocean, the worship of any divine aspect ultimately reaches the Supreme Being."


1. Invoke the Presence

Invoke the Presence of the Divine before you start the prayer. One way to invoke the Presence is calling God's name or Jesus name.
Fill ourselves in His name to invite the Presence to fill you or take over you completely.
And request the Divine to fulfill your prayer even if there are flaws in your prayer or possible errors in your belief system.


2. Emotional Bond

The first and most important thing in a prayer is the personal bond or relation you establish with God. Consider the Divine as your child, father, mother, friend or master. God is happiest if the relation you choose is that of a friend. But then, look at yourself and ascertain that you too are a true friend who responds to the request of your friends immediately. The response of the Divine will be similar to your response to the request of your friends.


3. Surrender and Helplessness

The prayer should always be prompted by a feeling of surrender and helplessness. If you feel that you can manage even without Divine grace and that you are just trying one more way, then, that is not the way of a genuine prayer. Surrender to the Divine will that you are prepared to accept whatever the outcome may be. And that you are absolutely helpless. Whatever effort you put in is just as an instrument of the Divine and not as per your own volition.


4. Pray from the Heart not from the Head

Prayer should come from the heart, not from the head. It is the feeling that is important, not the thought. When the feeling is intense, it creates waves of a higher frequency that get connected with the cosmic energy easily and make the fulfillment easily possible. The passion that you feel for God is very significant in raising the emotional intensity.


5. Clarity and Completeness

Next, your request should be clear and complete in all respects. It is like a sort of communication with cosmic energy, and so, what you communicate is very important. If you communicate something different or incomplete, the response too may be what you do not expect.
Hence before you pray, consider all aspects of your request and make it a perfect one.


6. Speak Internally

As already mentioned, prayer is a communication. You have to speak internally to God. You can say it aloud also. But it is better to speak internally as it will not distract others. The involvement increases as you go on talking to God and there will come a time when you shall feel God with you everywhere, as an inseparable PRESENCE.


7. One Request at a Time

You should see that you request for only one thing at a time. It is much similar to cooking a delicious dish. You should not mix two recipes at the same time. Because what we finally get will not be either of the two, but a third distortion of both. Hence stick to the principle of "one at a time".


8. Visualization

As you pray to God visualize the expected result of your prayer, that is, what you want to achieve in great detail. That means, visualize yourself in a state of having fulfilled your prayer, and then enjoy the happiness and joy. Accept that the situation has changed as you have been blessed.


9. Pray with Full Faith

Such an acceptance comes from full faith in God. As you know, it is very important to have faith without which nothing can ever happen. Have full confidence in the efficacy of prayer and the benevolence of the Divine.


10. Enjoy the Feeling of Grace

Enjoy the blessing and flow of Grace into you. And request the Divine to fulfill your prayer even if there are flaws in your prayer or possible errors in your belief system.


11. Thank the Divine for the Blessing Received

Naturally, you shall be filled with immense gratitude for the Divine. Express it freely and sincerely to the Divine from the depth of your heart. Prostrate at the feet of the Divine in deep gratitude and surrender.

Spiritual understanding can come only from mastery of the senses....

The sanctification of the five senses is the way to Truth. If the
senses are polluted, of what avail are spiritual exercises? When the
water in a tank is polluted, all taps will give only polluted water.
Your heart is the tank. When the heart is polluted, the senses are
bound to be sullied. When the heart is filled with good thoughts and
feelings, all that comes out of the senses - your speech, your
vision, your actions - will be pure. The secret of spiritual wisdom
is not to be got from scholars or by study. Spiritual understanding
can only come from mastery of the senses.

Do not let failure disappoint you and prevent you from entering into the promising future that holds for you the barriers of the biggest success ..

First, strengthen your understanding of the true self...

All the differences you find in this world are only reflections of the mind...

Since the thoughts that define our ego selves vary,
the worlds that are created in their images will also vary:

If we let go of our identification or attachment

Thinking with love is truth. "Truth: Nothing is absolutely true, really real. The waking experience is as unreal as the dream experience. When you are in deep sleep, there is no world at all. When you attain the supra-conscious fourth stage, the "I" alone remains the universal "I" which was mistaken even in the sleeping stage as limited. Truth is more fundamental than the atom. Every atom and every star manifests the truth to those who have the eyes of wisdom. Man's supremacy lies in his capacity to become aware of this truth.

Believe your senses...

One reason you may believe your senses
is that your world will always be a projection
and reflection of whatever you believe.

So if you believe there is a real physical
world independent of you,this belief will
create such a world.

And this world will
always appear to substantiate your beliefs
since it is a manifestation or reflection of them.

Where there is love, there can be no hatred, grief or want...

The ultimate purpose of all spiritual exercises
is to realize the love of the Divine.
To foster love is the purpose of all spiritual endeavour.
Under no circumstances should love be given up or ignored.

See that your love for God does not fluctuate according to
whether your wishes are fulfilled or not.

Love of God alone can confer enduring bliss.
There is nothing greater than love in this world.
Everything has a price. The price to be paid for
everlasting happiness is Divine love.

When you love Me, you love all;
for you begin to feel, know and experience
that I am in all. By means of meditation,
you can realize that I am the resident in
all hearts, the urge, the motive, the guide and the goal.

Yearn for that vision, that awareness
and make it your priceless possession.
Then, you have what you often ask Me for. . .
tje direct vision of reality.

Your love has to be pure and
free from the taint of ego, so that it can merge in Me.

of the phenomenal world to inquire into the truth of the Spirit.

If it is the will of the Lord, realize, My child that none of your fears will ever be able to avert it!

Have faith, My child, in your own purity, and you will overcome every difficulty...

Not realizing this profound truth, man pursues pleasure endlessly.
No doubt, man needs to be happy. But how is happiness to be achieved?

It is only when sorrow is overcome that man realizes happiness.
Hence everyone should welcome sorrow in the same spirit in which he greets happiness.
Pain and pleasure are intermingled. No one can separate them.

Pleasure is never found separately by itself.
When one is relieved of pain, one experiences pleasure.

It is through the calmness of the most intense activity that one finds his way to the self!

Do not let the failures disappoint you and prevent you from ....

Adversity is a stepping-stone to eternal bliss...

If a man today is under the sway of sorrow and misery, his mind is
responsible for it. Happiness and sorrow, affections and aversions,
and the sensual pleasures that man experiences arise out of his mind.

Since the mind is filled with the sense of duality you suffer all
these. When the mind is trained to see the oneness of all creation,
there will not be perversions of any kind.

You should face everything in life with a smile.
In this dualistic world, it is natural that
gain and pain alternate. You cannot avoid it.

You should neither despair when adversities confront you
nor exult when fortune smiles on you. Adversity is a stepping-stone to eternal bliss.

prepared to undergo the punishment.
Only then can one be free from defects.

When a person commits a serious offence,
he is put in a jail. He is released only after
he undergoes the punishment for the required period.

Likewise, if you want redemption,
you should atone for your sins and
be prepared to face punishment for your mistakes.

You should exercise control over
the senses and see that you do not repeat your mistakes.

How can we call a person a human being if he lacks human values?

Who is responsible for the erosion of values in man?
He himself is responsible for his devaluation. Today
we don't find any trace of human values in human beings.

Human values do not come from outside.
They are already there in every person.
But man is not able to recognize this.

He speaks untruth, undertakes wrong activities,
looks at forbidden things and entertains wrong thoughts.
He has lost his purity.

How can we call a person a human being
if he lacks human values?

It is not simply how you agree with every truth that becomes known to you, it is how you are ready to instantly adapt it!

Sickness dawns, when you are aware of its every symptom...

Richness is defined as the one that has managed to give more than he receives and has kept for his self much lesser than he truly needs...

For one who lacks love, the minds becomes a burden...

“For one who lacks intelligence and wisdom,
detachment becomes a burden. For one
who lacks knowledge, the body becomes a burden.
For one who lacks love, the minds becomes a burden

Suffering only come, when one denies his own inner strengths...

Divinity is present in a subtle form as consciousness...

Divinity is everywhere.

Just as the power of sight
is present in the eye, the
power of hearing in the ear,
the sense of taste in the tongue,

as Consciousness (Chaithanya) .
Remaining invisible in the phenomenal world,
the form of the Supreme Self , which
sustains everything like the thread in a garland of gems.”

Be good, see good and do good....

During summer, the land gets heated up
and is rendered uncultivateable .
As soon as there is rainfall,
saplings sprout and the land looks green.

From where did the sprouts come?
From the seeds sowed in the
earth. If there had been no seeds at all,
the sprouting would never
have occurred.

Likewise, past deeds
is the seed for human
birth. Your present life is a
reaction, resound and reflection of
your past actions.

Therefore, you are advised,
"Be good, see good and do good."

Think, My child, is it truth that is really high or is it simply you that chooses to float in the clouds of wishful dreams?

You will find God, my child, when you have seen Him as the only truth...

Faith is the will power that will inspire every divine truth to emerge...

A true devotee will recognize every place of God's residence...

Suffering only come, when one denies his own inner strengths...

Where unity, purity and divinity go together, life will be happy...

When you develop pure thoughts,
your life will be happy and peaceful.
Where there is purity, there Divinity is.

Unfortunately, today, Divinity
is being divided and differentiated
in the name of religion.

God is not responsible for either
your good thoughts or your bad thoughts.

Only you are responsible for both.
If you have bad thoughts, that is your own making.
All are one's own making.
The same is the case with good thoughts.

FIVE FINGER PRAYER

1. Your thumb is nearest you. So begin your prayers
by praying for those closest to you. Like your Family & Relatives.

2. The next finger is the pointing finger. Pray for those who teach,
instruct and heal. This includes teachers, doctors, and ministers.
They need support and wisdom in pointing others in the right direction.
Keep them in your prayers.

3. The next finger is the tallest finger. It reminds us of our leaders.
Pray for the president, leaders in business and industry,
and administrators. These people shape our nation and guide public opinion.
They need God's guidance.

4. The fourth finger ! is our ring finger. Surprising to many is
the fact that this is our weakest finger, as any piano teacher will testify.
It should remind us to pray for those who are weak, in trouble or in pain.
They need your prayers day and night. You cannot pray too much for them.

5. And lastly comes our little finger - the smallest finger of all
which is where we should place ourselves in relation to God and others.
As the Bible says, "The least shall be the greatest among you."
Your pinkie should remind you to pray for yourself. By the time you
have prayed for the other four groups, your own needs will be put into
proper perspective and you will be able to pray for yourself more effectively

I am in You, You are in me...

One may claim to have surrendered
all his wealth, power and position
to God. But, when one truly surrenders,
one realizes one's relationship with God saying,

"I am in You, You are in me." The sense
of separation between God and the
individual should vanish. Devotion
does not consist merely in offering
worship in various ways.

It means offering oneself to the Lord with
dedication and unsullied love. You
have come from the Divine who is
the embodiment of love. Hence, base
your life on that love.

No one can understand God's mystery.
The best you can do is to get immersed in it.
It is no use arguing about the pros and cons;
dive and know the depth; eat and know the taste.

Then you can discuss about God to your heart's content.
Develop Truth and Love and then you need not even

Huge waves constantly dash against
these rocks but the rocks remain firm.

You must be like those boulders.
You may be constantly bombarded
by worldly problems, but your faith
n God must remain firm like a rock.

That is true devotion.
You may give up everything
but never give up God!

Never Forget God!
Engrave this truth in your heart.
That will protect you in every possible way.

The body....

This thirst after body is
the greatest bane of human life.
Body is the name of series of changes.
Not one body is constant.

All the forces that are working
in this body have been produced out of food.
Body is an unreal dream, and we think we are all bodies.

Bodies come and go, but the soul does not change.

Body is the name of a stream of matter continuously changing.

The body is our enemy, and yet it is our friend.

The body is mortal and the mind is mortal;
both being compounds, must die.
There is but one temple - the body.
It is the only temple that ever existed.
