That have been given
For the welfare
of Mankind
Must be read
Over and over
Until the Mind
That is numb with fears
Rises to love
And bravely with courage
And with patience
Faces life
With truth
With righteousness
And with peace.
For how long
Shall we ask
Our Teacher
God, our Creator
To love us?
He has come
Only to love us.
To ask Him of that
Is merely
The foolishness
Of a blinded ego.
We must love Him
Then only will we know
That He loves us.
Loving Him
Is itself the gift
Of a million good deeds
Earned in many lifetimes.
Let us close our eyes
Let us forget
What troubles us
His name alone
Shall take us
Across the stormiest seas.
We will sail
Together
In this boat
Of Bhakti (pure
unconditional devotion)
And give each other
The Shakti (inner
endless strength)
To reach the shores
Of Mukti (liberation) ...
Let His Divine Lotus Feet...
Always show us the way.
Our endless reverence
To our Creator, God.
