As long as we require someone else to make us happy, we are slaves....

A golden chain is as
much a chain as an iron one.
Free will is a misnomer.

The ghosts of past thoughts,
past lives hold us down.

We think in time;
our thoughts are bound by time;
all that exists, exists in time and space.

We must learn not only to
attach the mind to one thing exclusively,
but also to detach it at a moment's notice
and place it upon something else.

Bondage brings only misery.
Desire, ignorance and inequality -
this is the trinity of bondage.

As long as we require
someone else to make us happy, we are slaves.

We are all slaves to our senses,
slaves to our minds, conscious and subconscious.

He whose senses rule him is worldly - is a slave.

What one has done, one must suffer...

The cause of today is the
effect of the past and the cause for the future.
The finer is always the cause, the grosser the effect.
Something cannot be made out of nothing.
All virtuous actions bring pleasure,
and all vicious actions bring pain.
What one has done one must suffer.
We are in this world by our own actions.
What we are now is the result of our past practice.
No one is to blame for our miseries but ourselves.

Progress in education???

"Biting the hand that feeds and reviling the preceptor who imparts knowledge,
this is the 'progress' in education today."

Upon ages of struggle, a character is built...

Character is repeated habits,
and repeated habits alone can reform character.

It is character that cleaves its way
through adamantine walls of difficulties.

It is character that pays everywhere.

Upon ages of struggle a character is built.

Perfect love, the heart never reacting,
this is what builds character.

Character has to be established through a thousand stumbles.

Man is sometimes blind to the fact that he is part of the Divine Creator...

Caught in the coils of the creation,
man is blind to the fact that he
is part of the Divine Creator.

Identifying himself with the physical sheath
in which he is encased, he is blind to the unity
of all beings in the One Universal Absolute.

Man has written and studied countless texts
on spiritual discipline and discovery, and
confounded the confusion indulging in
dialectical rivalries and argumentation.

But, he who has put at least a page
or two of these tomes into practise,
is rendered silent and innocent of
any desire for fame or victory.

He is happy in the depths of his being.
He ploughs the field of his heart,
sows the seeds of love and reaps
the harvest of fortitude and equanimity.

One wants the fruits of heaven without planting the seed of 'goodness'...

The true success behind every good work is the peace one derives from it!

Remember, My child, that one does not know only when he chooses not to hear!

If you truly are the seeker of peace...

If you truly love someone, you will set him free....

The rule of life... sacrifice....

Until you are able to truly understand yourself, until then....

Beware...

"Character and morality are confined to words.
The mind is totally polluted.
All actions are based on selfishness.
This is the 'Progress in today's education."

Social norms have vanished...

"Social norms have vanished;
Contentment among men has disappeared;
Character and moral values have been shattered;
Humanness has been degraded in mankind."

Every moment is an opportunity...

Every moment is an opportunity
to correct myself,
to understand
to realize
to love more
to serve more
I am thankful
for every little moment I have

Read little,
Speak little,
Experience more
Expect nothing
Observe continuously
Be aware
Do your duty
Live in the presence of God
Come closer to the Lord
every moment.....

Religion...

“Religion teaches self-discipline and promotes one’s well-being; It enhances one’s spiritual power and makes one effulgent; If people live without knowing its inner secret, The community and its culture decline and suffer.”

Lead your life without the feelings of 'I' and 'mine' and offer everything to God...

A true devotee should not have desires.
But, is it possible for you, endowed
as you are with a body, mind and senses,
to be without desires?

One is bound to have some desire or the other.
On the one hand, there are desires pertaining
to the senses that confer momentary joy.

On the other hand, there is a desire
to transcend the senses. Thus, people
are filled with many desires.

There is nothing wrong in having desires,
but all of them must be pleasing to God.
You should practice the eternal principles
based on Truth, and dedicate all your activities to God.

Lead your life without the feelings
of 'I' and 'mine' and offer everything to God.

Marks of parental love...

“The father, to teach the child truth, may chide, reprove or beat, The mother may pinch the cheeks to make the child drink milk, Forget not at any time these marks of parental Love.”

Do not serve for the sake of rewards....

Do not serve for the sake of rewards,
attracting attention, or earning gratitude,
or from a sense of pride at your own
superiority in skill, wealth, status or authority.

Serve because you are urged by love.
When you succeed, ascribe the success
to the Grace of God, who inspired you
as the Love principle within you.

When you fail, ascribe the failure
to your own inadequacy, insincerity or ignorance.

Examine the springs of action,
disinfect them from all traces of ego.
Do not blame the recipient of the service,
or your collaborators and co-workers, or God.

Post 1620 The cosmos is the creation of God...

The cosmos is the creation of the Divine.
It is surcharged with energy.
This energy is not localized at
a particular point in space or time.

Though this energy is all-pervading,
man is unable to recognize its divine nature.
As he cannot recognize it, he presumes
that it does not exist.

Electrical energy flows
continuously in the wires.
But, its presence is recognized only
when a bulb is fitted and switched on.

Likewise, though God is omnipresent.
His divine effulgence will shine only
in those who adore Him with a pure heart.

Man will be happy when he refuses to barter the purity of the self for his worldly gains!

The power of God arises and expresses from within you, when you are at the peak of purity!

God give the Divine gift only to those that are able to part with it...

God gives the

Feel blessed, My child when it is your turn to pay the debts, for every payment brings you closer to your natural state...

What wealth is greater than God's love?

“What gift is greater than the gift of food?
Is there a greater deity than one’s parents?
What virtue is greater than compassion?

What is more valuable than good company?
Is there a worse enemy than anger?
Is any disease worse than infamy?

What can be greater than a good name?
What wealth is greater than God’s love?”

There is nothing that is absolutely evil....

Every reaction in the form of hatred or evil is so much loss to the mind; and every evil thought or deed of hatred or any thought of reaction, if it is controlled, will be laid in our favor.

There is nothing that is absolutely evil.

Darkness is less light; evil is less good; impurity is less purity.

The root cause of evil is our desire to be superior to others and our selfishness.

Force against force never cures, and the only cure for evil is unselfishness

The "me and mine" is the very root of all the evil in the world.

The evils that are in the world are caused by none else but ourselves.

In doing evil, we injure ourselves and others also.

All evil comes, as our scriptures say. relying upon differences.

Remember, what it is that you are afraid to love, you may lose it, with or without the fear....

Seek thy freedom, O child, do not wish anymore, and bring upon thyself this world of misery!

Remember, if you want nothing from the world, it will consider you insane...

Make your life deserving, My child, by serving life with your purity...

Self control and spiritual endeavor is the only ray of hope ...

Man's mind is too full of the world and desires demand too much of his time and energy. Engrossed in the analysis of the material world, he has lost all sense of sweetness and sublimity and truth has become just another word in the dictionary. Humility, patience and reverence have become irrelevant. The only ray of hope in this enveloping gloom of fear, hatred and persecution, is the Peace that one can win through self-control and spiritual endeavor. That Peace will pervade and purify the inner consciousness as well as the outer atmosphere.

God is love personified....

God is Love personified.

God is Love, and only he who has known God as Love can be a teacher of godliness and God to man.

He is the beauty itself, sublimity itself.

Who loves all beings without distinction, he indeed is worshiping best his God.

Man is an infinite circle whose circumference is nowhere, but the center is located in a spot; and God is an infinite circle whose circumference is nowhere, but his center is everywhere.

God is Love and Love is God.

Love is God, freedom is God; and everything that is bondage is not God.

God is the big magician; He does all the tricks.

God is present in every Jiva; there is no other God besides that.

God exists, nothing else exists; everything else comes and goes.

Even a diamond requires to be cut and polished to enhance its brilliance and value....

The Lord creates hostile forces to
demonstrate the power of faith in
the Divine and to confer peace and
plenty on the believers.

Just as a mother provides toys
and sweets to a child for its pleasure,
though they are of no use to her,
God creates certain situations for
the sake of the devotee, to bring
out the depth of his devotion.

Even in small matters, we find that
their true nature is discovered only
by experiencing the elements opposed to them.

For instance, if one wants to develop physical strength,
he has to subject the body to strenuous exercises.
Even a diamond requires to be cut and polished
to enhance its brilliance and value.

Ostentation in rendering service is harmful as it will only inflate the ego...

In rendering selfless service,
one should not think that their
services should be confined to
the poor and the destitute.

There is no need to make any
artificial distinction between the rich and the
poor in the sphere of service. What matters
is the service done to a person who needs it.

Your concern should only be with what kind of
service is required, when and where,
and not the status or position
of the person concerned.

The primary requisite is a genuine spirit of
love and camaraderie. If there is no feeling
of kindness and compassion, whatever service
that is done becomes an artificial
exercise, done for getting publicity or recognition.

Ostentation in rendering service is harmful
as it will only inflate the ego.

See God in every one you meet... see God in everything you perceive....

See God in every one you meet; see God in everything you perceive. His Mystery is immanent in all that is material and non-material. The Universe is permeated by the Divine, it is an expression of His Mystery! Dip into the springs of joy within you and progress; do not stand still or recede. Every minute must mark a step forward. Rejoice that it is given to you to recognize God in all and welcome all chances to sing His Glory, to hear His miraculous stories, to share His presence with others.

Offer Him the fruits of your actions and the flowers of your inner thoughts and feelings...

Install the Lord in your heart and offer Him the fruits of your actions and the flowers of your inner thoughts and feelings. That is the worship God likes most, the Devotion God appreciate most. Implicit faith is the secret of spiritual success.

The rule of life, My child, is 'Sacrifice'! Abide by it, and the game of the life will surely favor you. Defy it, and you will pay the price...

Peace is the honey of love in the enchanting flower of life...

Peace is the honey of love in the enchanting flower
of life. It is the prime need of the spiritual master and the
spiritual aspirant. Having acquired it, they can realize
the Reality tomorrow, if not today. They should put up with all the
obstacles in the way, and peace will give them the strength needed
for this. Through peace alone can devotion and wisdom strike root.

Be devoid of desire for sense objects...

Try to break the coconut as it comes from the tree;
the shell is covered compactly by a coat of fiber.
You cannot break the nut by hitting even with a crow-bar;
take off the fibrous armour, breaking it is very easy.

When you take the coconut to be offered in the temple,
you take it after removing the fiber; then, you offer it to God,
breaking it into two halves.

This is the symbol for destroying the ego and surrendering to the Lord.
So you have to remove the fiber of desire for sense objects and then,
stand before the Lord devoid of desire and anger; then you declare that you are ego-less, by breaking the coconut into two. You will be accepted then, not before.

No duty is ugly, no duty is impure....

No duty is ugly, no duty is impure. (I. 70)

Each duty has its own place, and according to the circumstances in which we are placed, we must perform our duties. (I. 47)

Duty for duty's sake, work for work's sake.

Duty is seldom sweet.

Our duty is to encourage every one in his struggle to live up to his own highest ideal, and strive at the same time to make the ideal as near as possible to the Truth.

All our duties are His.

Ours are the duties. Let the fruits take care of themselves.

Every duty is holy, and devotion to duty is the highest form of the worship of God; it is certainly a source of great help in enlightening and emancipating the deluded and ignorant - encumbered souls of the bound ones.

God is love incarnate....

God is love incarnate. This love shines equally in every human being.
The fragrance of a flower remains the same whether it is held in the
right hand or the left. Likewise God has no distinctions such as the
favoured and the excluded.

But narrow-minded persons cannot easily
grasp the Divine's equal-mindedness. Everyone apprehends God's powers
and attributes according to his own limited conceptions and
experiences. Different people, depending on their own likes and
dislikes, attribute the differences existing in their own minds to
the Divine.

God does not make distinctions such as the good and the
bad, the desirable and the unwanted, the wicked and the virtuous. The
sandalwood tree imparts its fragrance even to the axe that fells it.
Likewise, God is ever prepared to love, foster and protect everyone equally.

All cravings and impulses rise up with overpowering strength like waves from the sea, roar in fury....

All cravings and impulses rise up with overpowering strength like
waves from the sea, roar in fury, and then subside in to calm waters.
They do not confer peace. Wisdom lies in forgetting these waves and
directing one's attention to the calm depths within. You can attain
peace only if you dive in to the deep and undisturbed depths
of the sea within, not by swimming around on the surface.

In the spiritual world, 'richness' is defined as the one that has managed to give much more than he receives and has kept for his self much lesser..

Live in absolute conviction that you are the spirit...

Live in absolute conviction that you are the spirit.
The spirit sees through the eyes, hears through the ears,
handles through the fingers and moves through the feet.

That is the basic 'You'. That 'You' is not elated by praise or deflated by blame.
As long as you are overcome with fear and anxiety, you will not be able to accomplish anything. Be courageous! Know that you are the spirit, not this body; then you will be without fear.

God, can help you achieve great things, but only if you base your actions on true knowledge and remain fearless.

Keep our mind pure....

The senses create a lot of unsteadiness in us. They lead us to bad ways in many ways. However, when our mind is pure, they lead us on the noble path. Hence, keep your mind fresh and pure always. It should not be allowed to waver, which leads us to ups and downs.

Everything is God....

Everything is God.
Do not entertain any doubts in this regard.

Doubts create confusion in you.
If a human being is to live the life of a real human being,
all doubts have to be removed.

The sooner the better,
for as long as doubts persist,
they work like slow poison.

Develop faith...

Develop faith in yourself.
That is called self-faith.
If only you possess self-faith,
none can cause any harm to you.

Even bombs cannot do any damage.
Many people develop a fear complex
these days that that area is attacked with bombs,
this area is attacked with bombs, etc.
We need not entertain any such fear.

Know that we are God's shadow, His image...

Be ever conscious that you are but God's shadow, His image. Then no harm can hamper you. God walks the royal road of Truth. The shadow falls on valley and hill, fire and water, dirt and dust, if you hold on to His Feet, you can be as unaffected as the shadow by the ups and downs of life.

Fear must not be part of your spiritual journey. The one thing that you must never be insecure of is God's love!

Persevere, be tenacious and never give up....

Having resolved, what ought to be resolved,
hold on to it till you have succeeded.
Having desired what ought to be desired,
hold on to it till your desire is fulfilled.

Having asked what ought to be asked,
do not leave the hold till you get it.
Having thought what ought to be thought,
hold on to it till you have succeeded.

With heart mellowed, the Lord must yield
to your wishes or forgetting yourself,
you should ask Him with all your heart.

Persevere, be tenacious and never give up,
for it is the quality of a Devotee never
to retreat, abandoning his resolve.

Where is God?

Where is God?

There is nowhere where He is not. Just as one thread penetrates all
the flowers in a garland, so also, one Self penetrates all these
living beings. He is hidden in all beings and forms, like oil in
seed, butter in milk, mind in brain, Prana in the body, fetus in the
womb, sun behind the clouds, fire in wood, vapor in the atmosphere,
salt in water, scent in flowers, sound in the gramophone records,
gold in quartz, microbes in blood.

God dwells in all beings as life and consciousness. God is in the
roar of a lion, the song of a bird, and the cry of a babe. Feel His
presence everywhere. See God in the wings, of a butterfly, in the
letters Alpha and Omega, in the cough of a patient, in the murmur of
a brook, in the sound of a bell. Behold the wonder of the Lord's
face in every object of this world.

Every breath that flows in the nose, every beat that throbs in the
heart, every artery that pulsates in the body, every thought that
arises in the mind, speaks to you that God is near. Every flower
that wafts fragrance, every fruit that attracts you, every gentle
breeze that blows, every river that smoothly flows, speaks of God
and His mercy.

The vast ocean with its powerful waves, the mighty Himalayas with
its glaciers, the bright sun and stars in the wide sky, the lofty
tree with its branches, the cool springs in the hills and dales,
tell you of His omnipotence. The music of the sweet singers, the
lectures of the Powerful orators, the poems of the reputed poets,
the inventions of the able scientists, the operations of the
dexterous surgeons, the utterances of the holy saints, the revelations, speak of God and His wisdom.

Everything is God. Good is God. Misfortune is God. Greet Him in
everything and rest peacefully in bliss. God pervades the entire
universe. He walks in the garb of a beggar. He moans in pain in the
guise of the sick. He wanders in the forest clad in rags. Open your
eyes. See Him in all. Serve all. Love all.

Feel the Divine Presence everywhere-in every form, in every thought,
in every feeling and in every sentiment, in every movement, in every
emotion.

God, seen through the senses, is matter. God, seen through the
intellect, is mind. God, seen through the spirit, is the
Self.

Thou art indwelt by the Lord. He is the inner ruler, Antaryamin,
guarding and controlling your life. He is in you and you are in Him.
He is quite close to you. He is not very far, but is nearer to you
than you are to yourself. You were thinking in the beginning that He
could be found only in Mount Kailas, Ramesvaram, Mecca, Jerusalem, sky or heaven.

You had very vague ideas. This body is His moving
temple. The sanctum sanctorum is the chamber of your own heart.
Close your eyes. Withdraw your Indriyas from the sensual objects.
Search Him in thy heart with one-pointed mind, devotion, and pure
love. You will surely find Him. He is waiting there with
outstretched arms to embrace you. If you cannot find Him there, you
cannot find Him anywhere else.

No sufferings can really affect you, all are delusions... be you in a sleeping or awaken state...

You are all the indestructible Self,
nothing need discourage you.

In your dream, you suffer so much
due to fire, floods, insult, loss of money, etc.
But once you wake up, you are not affected at all.

When these events happen during the waking state,
you feel afflicted. But let me tell you that
from the state of Realization, even the
waking state is equally without validity.

It is not the real 'you' that suffers all that.
Give up the delusion that you are this physical
entity and you become really free.

A prayer of repentance... sometimes we need it..

We repent O God most merciful, for all our sins;
For every thought that was false or unjust or unclean;
For every word spoken that ought not to have been spoken;
For every deed done that ought not to have been done.

We repent for every deed and word and thought
Inspired by selfishness;
And for every deed and word and thought inspired by hatred.

We repent most specially for every lustful thought,
And every lustful action;
For every lie; for all hypocrisy;
For every promise given, but not fulfilled;
And for all slander and backbiting.

Most specially also, we repent for every action
That has brought ruin to others;
For every word and deed that has given others pain;
And for every wish that pain should befall others.

In your unbounded mercy, we ask you to forgive us, O God,
For all these sins committed by us;
And to forgive us for our constant failures
To think and speak and act according to your will.
Amen

God's love towards everyone of you is that of a thousand mothers!

Understand this: Each one of you know the love of a single mother only. But My affection, My love towards everyone of you is that of a thousand mothers! Do not deny yourself that affection, that love, by denying Me your love!

Love is attractive, only when it is constantly attentive!

Remember, the world may help you only once, but it will remind you of it the whole lifetime!

The only injustice is of you accepting the suffering and not fighting it!

All the right opportunities come to the one that leaves his every choice to the Divine Will!

The brave learn to fight every fear, the coward, My child, accepts his fear and instead, learn to hate!

First, learn to be happy, no matter what, only then, will the inner guiduance awaken and direst you away from suffering...

To ever live in the presence of God is finding the truth of 'eternal life'.

Have one pointed devotion towards the Lord and you will see Him everywhere...

When you have one pointed devotion towards the Lord, you see Him everywhere. When your thoughts, vision and words are sacred, you are verily God yourself. Then, you don't need to search for God. God Himself will come searching for you. God is every where; one need not search for Him. In fact, God Himself is in search of a good man. One who is a recipient of God's love is a good man. Such good man is Godman.

How do you know that there is God?

Unless you cultivate love, tolerance, humility, faith and reverence, how is it possible for you to realize God? God is Love, Love is God.

Where there is love, there is God. He is certainly evident. Love more and more people, love them more and more intensely. Transform the love into service, transform the service into worship, that is the highest spiritual discipline.

Love is the source of our intuition, our creativity, our empathy. It is the most basic and primary tool of all therapists, allowing us to extend beyond ourselves to merge with the one who is suffering, experience the other's pain, and finally dissolve that pain with Love's life-giving force.

Love is the solvent for the hardest of hearts. Love can confer peace, joy and wisdom, cultivate love, express love, let love by your breath, let the sun of love help the lotus of your heart to blossom.

Love is God's highest miracle. Love can make you gather the affection of all mankind. Love will not tolerate any selfish aim or approach.

Love is God, live in love. The spark of divine dwells in your heart. Discover it, feel it, attain it, experience it, you will find the peace at heart, peace of mind, and the answers to everything and anything, yes, it is love.

Expand your heart so that it can encompass all, do not narrow it down into an instrument of restricted love. Love activates, love fulfills, fill your hearts with the sweet fragrant water of love.

Man is love embodied. He thirsts for love and he finds real joy in loving and receiving selfless love. Love all human beings as embodiments of the same divine principles.

You can experience it yourself. When one does something that he feels is good or helpful, he will experience a joy, a feeling of contentment only he experiences. He might not want to show, but deep inside there is this connectedness to the spark of divine, that is love.

Too many people in this world is deprived of love, of care, of concern and hunger and thirst for it in a wrong way, driving them further and further away from achieving them. We talk, we voice our feelings to be loved, to be cared but who heeds them? Some of us are too busy to even count our blessings and forgotten our loved ones. Our loved ones who wait and wait for just a small response.

When you know that you are but a spark of the divine and that all else the same divine spark, you look upon all with reverence and true love. Your heart is filled with supreme joy and the canker of egoism is rendered ineffective. Man is seeking joy in far-off places, in quiet spots, not knowing that the spring of joy is in his heart, the haven of peace is in himself.

So, Love is God, God is the embodiment of perfect love. so, He can be known and realized, reached and won only through love. You can see Him only with the help of moonlight. You can see God only through the rays of love.....

Don't worry about different names, God is omnipotent, omnipresence, omniscience and in all forms. Fear not that you are an outsider. Accept love into your heart, expand it, experience it, treat all as brothers and sisters. You are also onto the road to spiritual wealth and health.

What do you call yourself? 'I', isn't it? What do everybody call themselves? "I" too. Actually all the 'I" belongs to the same family, same embodiments of God. I is You, You is I, We belongs to the same creed, same origin and moves towards the same path, irrespective of different faith....

Love all beings as manifestations of the same divinity, that is the very core of yourself. Love all beings, that is more than enough.

Permanent happiness can be secured only through one form of knowledge...

Permanent happiness can be secured only through one form of knowledge. That is the science of God-realisation, the teachings of Holy Men and God. That alone can
save man and grant him peace. There is nothing higher that. Whatever
be the subjects you have specialised in for a profession or living,
have your eyes always focussed on this knowledge.

If people do not love you, be sure, that it is your fault!

If people do not love you, be sure, that it is your fault. It is disgruntled people that find fault with the world. It is those who have no peace in their hearts that cause disturbances in the world.

They are restless, so they, in turn, engender restlessness in others, and then think that it is a rotten world. You should know what to do; have the right knowledge, the right judgement and the right action. If you want to see the whole world coloured green, then you should not try to paint everything green, you should simply wear green tinted glasses.

Many people declare, "I am an individualised soul, I am a spark of consciousness, I am an embodied spirit", but declarations such as these do not reveal a true understanding of the life principle.

The individualised soul is Divine Consciousness, installed in a chariot, the body. It is not a bundle of inert stuff, moulded into a form and labelled with a name. There is only one all-pervading Consciousness, but Man experiences It in fragments and, mistaking It as many, he gropes around in the confusion caused by his own ignorance.

Many scripture have instructed Man of the truth that God dwells in his body along with the ego, with God inducing him to aspire for the heights, and the ego advising him to be content with the low. The ego has faith in the reality of the world and of itself.

The Divine Principle, on the other hand, asserts that It is ever present, both close to Man as well as far from him. The fact is that people only feel that God is far away, because they are not aware of God being near them, nay in their own hearts.

The truth that the scripture teach is that God is everywhere, both near and far, both above and below, both inside and outside. God is one, Indivisible and Omnipresent.

God shows the way, He guides...

"The study of sacred books and listening to religious discourses is meant to develop self-control and peace. I am not for indiscriminate reading of books however valuable they may be.

Much reading tends to confuse the mind. It fosters argumentation and intellectual pride. What I insist upon is putting the things read into practice, if not all, a least a thing or two.

Moreover, remember that a book is only a pointer, a guide, a signpost. Reading alone cannot be the completion of the journey. It is only the first step; read for the sake of practising, not for reading's sake.

Too many books in a room indicates that a person is suffering from intellectual illnesses, just as too many tins, capsules and bottles of medicines in a cupboard indicate that the person is suffering from physical illness."

Right is right even if nobody does it, wrong is wrong even if everybody does it!

Many feel that it is human to err and that God should forgive their lapses whereas, in fact, if they are truly human, they should not commit mistakes at all. Even if sometimes a mistake is committed, wittingly or unwittingly, it should not be repeated.

It is a grievous error to think that it is natural for a human being to err. Such a feeling should not be entertained at all by anyone. Every man should realize, " I am not weak, I am not an animal. I am not a demon, I am a man ". When a man has this conviction he will not commit mistakes.

Man is the very embodiment of the spirit or Atma and the Atma cannot be affected by any taint. It is the attachment to the body, which is the cause of bad thoughts, bad desires and bad actions. It is the one who is a slave to his senses that is a prey to such impulses.

To follow the directive of the senses is a mark of the animal. To be guided by the Atma is the real sign of the human. No one should attempt to justify his weaknesses and lapses as being natural to a human being. They should be regarded as signs of mental debility.

You should continually strive to master your senses. When you have truly acquired sense-control, you will experience the power of the Divine within you. Right is right even if nobody does it, wrong is wrong even if everybody does it.

What is essential for a steady mind is the control of the 5 senses and a ceiling on desires...

God is immanent in the five elements - Earth, Water, Fire, Wind and
Ether. Since there is no place in creation where the five elements do
not exist, it can be concluded that God is all-pervasive. And yet,
why is man unable to experience this divinity? Though water reflects
objects, the image, unlike the object, is not steady. Similarly, man
cannot be a perfect image of God if he has a wavering mind. Such a
mind leads to confusion and depression, and with such a mind, a
seeker can never realise the divinity within. What is essential for a
steady mind is the control of the five senses and a ceiling on desires.

Duty is something that must be given and must never be remembered!

Let truth, My child, not be a mere choice, make it the only way in life!

Within this short span of life, one has to finish innumeralbe responsibilities...

If you truly love somebody, free him, My child, from the clasp of your attachment towards him...

To a person who has no faith in righteousness, the joy derived from its observance is incomprehensible...

To a person who has no faith in righteousness,
the joy derived from its observance is incomprehensible.

To dilate upon it before such a person
is as useless a venture as blowing a conch
before a person who is stone deaf.

So when righteousness is taught to a person,
ascertain whether that person has faith and earnestness,
and the eagerness to practise it. Only such persons must be dealt with.

The illusion of worry is such that it makes everything in you appear as meaningless and nothing!

Only faith in the self can protect you...

Having been born from the Self,
man should always contemplate on the Self.
He will become restless and face hardships
if he forgets the Self.

So, never forget the Self,
the source of your origin.
Treat the Self as the basis of your life.
This is the righteousness that man should adhere to.

You may occupy positions of authority,
you may have wealth and prosperity,
but none of them can protect you.
Only faith in the self can protect you.

To follow righteousness is itself a source of joy, it is the path least beset with hurdles. This is the teaching of God.

Of course, it is hard to effect
this full surrender. But if man
makes but the slightest effort towards it,
the Lord Himself will confer the courage
to pursue it to the end.

He will walk with him and
help him as a friend;
He will lead him as a Guide;
He will guard him from evil and temptation;
He will be his staff and support.

He has said, "This course of action,
if followed even to a small extent,
will save him from terrifying fear".
To follow righteousness is itself
a source of joy; it is the path least
beset with hurdles. That is the Teaching of the Lord.

Even the most heinous sinner can become pure by surrendering to the Lord in anguished repentance...

Righteouness is not laid down or
recommended for the extraordinary among men.
It is within the reach of all,
for all have the hunger for God,
all have the discrimination to
discover that there is something
basic behind all this change.
Even the most heinous sinner can
quickly cleanse his heart and
become pure by surrendering
to the Lord in anguished repentance.

Therefore, the Lord's Command is
that each should pursue the special
righteousness laid down for him;
each person should plan his life
according to the spiritual foundations
of his culture; he should give up the
'objective' vision and listen to the Voice of God.

See good, hear good, talk good and do good...

A paper has no smell of its own.
If it is used for wrapping pakodas
or dry fish or jasmine flowers,
it acquires the smell of the item wrapped in it.

The heart may be compared to paper.
If good feelings are packed in it,
you will certainly develop good tendencies.
See good, hear good, talk good and do good

Post 1555 Chanting the Lord's name is essential for crossing the turbulent ocean of life..

One should realize that just
as the body can be healthy only
so long as the blood is pure,
real bliss can be experienced
only when the mind is filled with thoughts of God.

Divinity cannot be discovered by experiment.
To realize this inherent divinity in man the
royal path is the path of spirituality.

The nine forms of devotion mentioned
in the scriptures may not directly reveal God,
but they do show the path to God-realization.

Of these, chanting the name
of the Lord is the simplest.
Whatever form of worship, penance
or meditation one may adopt,
the foundation is the Lord's name.
Chanting the Lord's name is essential
for crossing the turbulent ocean of life

Strange, isn't it?

STRANGE...Isn' t it?

Isn't it strange how a 20 dollar note
seems like such a large amount when
you donate it to church, but
such a small amount
when you go for shopping?

Isn't it strange how 2 hours seem so long when
you're at church or temple , and how
short they seem when you're
watching a good movie?

Isn't it strange that you can't
find a word to say when
you're praying,
but you have no trouble
thinking what to complain to God?

Isn't it strange how difficult
and boring it is to read
one chapter
of the Bible, but how easy
it is to read 100 pages of
a popular novel ?

Isn't it strange how everyone
wants front-row-tickets
to concerts or
games, but they do whatever
is possible to sit at the last
row in Church?

Isn't it strange how we need to
know about an event for
Church in advance so we can
include it in our agenda, but we can
adjust it for other events in
the last minute?

Isn't it strange how difficult it
is to learn a fact about God & to share it
with others, but how easy
it is to learn, extend and repeat gossip?

Isn't it strange how we
believe everything
that magazines and newspapers
say, but we question the words in the
Religious Scriptures?

Isn't it strange how everyone
wants a place in
heaven, but they don't want
to believe, do, or say anything
to get there?

Isn't it strange how we send
jokes in e-mails
and they are forwarded
right away,
but when we are going to send
messages about God, we think
about it twice before we share
it with others?

STRANGE...Isn' t it?

To think that someone is your friend and another your enemy is an error!

To think that someone is your friend
and another your enemy is an error.
Such a delusion has to be given up.
The Lord who is the embodiment of love
is the only true and constant companion,
friend, guide and protector.

Know this and live in this knowledge.
This is the way to lead a life of righteousness.
Theis way of life is the road to Self-realization.
Those who walk along it are dear to the Lord.
He dwells with all who are truthful
and whose deeds spring from righteousness.

There is no greater blessing than human birth, to call oneself a human, first & foremost, one must show humanness in action!

There is no greater blessing than
human birth. To call oneself a human,
first and foremost, one must
show humanness in action.

Having been born and brought up in society
and having earned one's wealth from it,
one should show gratitude to
it by working for its welfare.

The world is facing problems because
man does not show his gratitude to society.
Society's well-being is
your well-being too.

Give up selfishness and
work for the welfare of the society.
The world will enjoy peace and security only when
everyone serves society and has devotion towards God.

Do not be afraid to be simple, who can take advantage of the one that chooses to keep for himself, nothing!

Be self confident, be self dependent and you,My child will relieve yourself from the insecurity of any worldly loss!

Speak what is good and listen to good words...

You should always speak what is good and listen to good words. If you happen to hear something evil, do not tell it to others. What is the purpose of making others restless by telling them something which has robbed you of your peace? Today there are people who not only lend their ear to evil talk but also spread the same to the rest of the society causing a great deal of unrest.

Spiritual practice must be done with complete faith and without any room for doubt...

Spiritual practice must be done with complete faith and
without any room for doubt. Cultivate love for God. There is nothing
greater than that.

As your love grows stronger, the Spirit in you
will shine brighter. Spiritual growth calls for restraint on desires.

In addition, you also have to get rid of attachments and aversions.
The three great enemies of man are desire, anger and greed.

Desire destroys devotion, anger annihilates wisdom,
and greed poisons every action. These three vices are deleterious to
good deeds, devotion and spiritual wisdom.

The only way to get rid of them is to burn them in the fire of Divine Love

All are brothers and sisters, all should live with love and unity..All are one, be alike to everyone! This is God's message!

People keep distance among one another due to differences of opinion. In fact, you are not different from others. Today they may appear to be different, but tomorrow they may come close to you.

All are brothers and sisters! Hence, all should live like brothers and sisters with love and unity. "All are one; be alike to everyone." This is My special Message.

If only all can understand that the colors of skin doesn't matter on spirituality...

It is more useful for the student to search for his own faults, with a view to removing them, than to seek excellences so that he might exult over them. A student who does this can progress fast; he is not dragged behind by fear or anxiety; he can move on, with faith in the Lord, on whom he has placed all his burdens. He reaches a state of mental calm, which is the sign of the true aspirant. Arjuna arrived at that stage and then Krishna gave him.... (and, through him, to all mankind) the teaching that confers Immortality.

For whom was the Geetha spoken? Just think of that for one moment. Milk is not taken from the udder for the sake of the cows, for cows do not drink their own milk; Arjuna, the calf, has had his fill; Krishna is ever-content and He needs nothing, not to mention, milk! For whose sake was it that the Upanishads were milked by Krishna to get this Geetha? Krishna says it is for the "Sudhee-jana, " the persons who have "Su-dhee". Intelligence that is moderated by Goodness; Intelligence that is controlled by Virtue.

And what of the place where the Teaching was given? Between two opposing armies! Therein lies the great significance of the Geetha. On one side, the forces of Dharma; on the other, the forces of Adharma; on one side, the Good, on the other, the Bad; between these two pulls, the Individual, unable to decide which course to adopt, weeps in despair. And the Lord speaks the Geetha to all such and grants them light and courage. Do not think that the distress of Arjuna was just his affair, his problem and no more. It is a universal human problem.

An Indian story about faith...

Once upon a time, in a faraway land, there lived Any, a pretty little girl and Dadi, a wise old woman. When Any was a tiny baby, Dadi found her, abandoned in a sugar-cane field. It was love at first sight! Dadi brought Any to her cottage and lovingly raised her as her own daughter.

As time passed and Any grew up, she became very fond of reading story books and also, of day dreaming. She loved Fantomas and Tarzan, but her real hero was Rama from the book the 'Ramayana'.

Rama was God. He was a very handsome and very sweet warrior prince. He loved his father, his mothers, his three brothers, his lovely wife Sia and, not to forget his monkey friend, Hanuman. He loved every human being, every animal and every living creature. He was LOVE incarnate. He helped everybody always and in all ways. He never hurt anybody in thought, word or action. He fought against the demon King Ravana and he killed him. He was the perfect hero. He was the Prince Charming of Any.

Any spent long hour's day dreaming of Rama and of his valiant exploits against the bad and the evil. At night, Rama came in her dreams. Rama became her constant imaginary companion.

One day, somebody knocked at the door when Any was in the midst of a beautiful dream. She opened the door. A handsome young man stood in front of her.

'Hello! Who are you?'

'I am Rama, your hero!'

'No! You aren't! If you are my Rama, why aren't you wearing the dhoti? Where is your Janev thread? Where are your bow and arrows? Why are you dressed like a cowboy?'

'Yes! I am Rama, little lady. Things have changed since I returned from exile in the forest. I travelled a lot, not by astral flying any more but by airplane. One day, I landed in America and I decided to stay. This is why I am dressed like this.'

'Rama! My hero! Please come in! Dadi, look who is here! It is Rama, my hero!'

'Where beta? I don't see anybody.'

Dear readers, Rama was visible to Any alone. She had the Faith.

Meditation, penance and contemplation are the sources of inner illuminations, only then men can experience the vision of Divine Glory...

Visit to temples,churches,
with the company of holy men,
the continuous recital of the Divine
Name, the adoration of the Divine Form
- these are all external sources of Light.

Meditation , penance, contemplation
- these are the sources of inner illumination. Devoid
of both, how can men experience the vision of Divine Glory?

He, the Almighty, by His wish and touch takes away the worldly attractions gradually to bring one to a blissful, peaceful state...

He, the Almighty, by His wish and touch takes away the worldly attractions gradually to bring one to a blissful, peaceful state. A person cannot realize this state on his or her own due to the intensity of illusory worldly desire. You do everything, see everything, listen to everything, but do not get so deeply involved as to invite sufferings through them. Of course, He will ensure this, you don't have to make any effort for it. Just keep Him in your remembrance.

He gives us jolts so that we can be ready to taste real happiness with Him, to make us free...

He gives us jolts so that we can be ready to taste real happiness with Him, to make us free of maya, or mind and attachments. We do not know His Will, so we grieve over all He does, but He always does everything for the best. Do not worry. Never try to understand. Only accept as a gift whatever He gives, take it as His blessing. When one feels, "I am helpless, my strength fails" He comes to hold the rudder. Being always in the midst of people with their selfishness, jealousy and hatred, the mind is afflicted with pain. These afflictions are shaken off like dust through devotion and remembrance of God's Name within.

If you have devotion, you need fear nothing....

If you have devotion, you need fear nothing. Devotion is never devoid of strength. So many varied problems and hindrances must come, otherwise people will not understand and realize how and why He is the best of all friends and companions. He is the Dearest One, who keeps us protected in all calamities and adversities, which are unpredictable. People falter in life and suffer by discarding Him. But, they can't do anything without Him. Have faith in Him, unflinching faith. Love Him. Hazards take care of themselves. Remembering and depending on Him make one fearless in life, whatever may happen.

The smiles and frowns of life are His token of love... bear them with loving patience...

When you have the shelter of God within, He will test you in various ways. Your duty is not to get agitated when these sorts of events hurt you. There is a saying of God, "You look to Me, I look to you. Even then, if they do not leave Me and still seek Me, I then become their humble servant."

The smiles and frowns of life are His tokens of love. Bear them with loving patience, you have to forsake nothing. Neither indulge, nor restrain.

Unhappiness is part of the ego...

Do not be obsessed with any wish. Shake off sadness. Unhappiness is part of the ego. Beyond it, no such thing exists. That you have forgotten Truth (that God is within) is the root cause of your misery. A painful blow becomes bearable to a great extent by His remembrance. As He inflicts blows on you, so also He gives you the capacity for bearing the suffering. As one tolerates unbearable situations with patience, a time comes when He resolves all problems. Whenever you have tumults in mind, try to remember this very often. You can do this. The key is with Him. Truth wins. He is your shield. Destiny still comes but He eases the suffering.

Take refuge in none but Him...

Take refuge in none but Him. Dependence on Him makes one fearless. Human beings will enjoy three-fourths of life and one-fourth they will suffer. But, we lose our patience and do not accept even that one-fourth of sorrows given by Him.

God or His Name is the sole strength in living against all odds and uncertainties.

God or His Name is the sole strength in living against all odds and uncertainties. If one is not at cross purposes with Him, one finds His manifestation in every happening. But, one has to bear with patience the onrush of the forces one has let loose. Yoke yourself unto Him and He will bear the brunt.

The Lord will release you from whatever the bondage you may find yourself...

The Lord will release you from what ever the bondage you may find yourself, He will end the captive of the strong men and women that had held ur life to a stand still, your name will be deleted from the evil book in Jesus name, every evil tongue against your destiny will be cut off instantly, the Lord will release his power over your situations, and every one will glorify God in your life
